The blog (and general ramblings) of a freelance web designer

I’m delighted to be working with Birdsong London today. Birdsong finds the best female makers and brings them to you, no sweatshops, no photoshop.

I’ve just got my new MacBook Pro, along with my new HD Vertical screen and it’s improved my workflow no end. The ability to have masses of code all in one huge list is making life infinitely easier. I’d highly recommend a vertical screen for anyone who is serious about coding.

Tomorrow I’ll be working with Home-Start Wandsworth as a part of Freelance Friday. This is my last pro-bono day of 2014 and it’s very exciting to be working with such a fantastic, local charity.

I’ve been working with tons of fantastic charities over the course of 2014 and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Helping with anything from Social Media and SEO to full-on web design and development, working with charities on a pro-bono basis has been a really fantastic experience.

Today I am working in house at African Revival, helping this small charity to maximise it’s digital marketing and online presence. This is the first in a series of 12 pro-bono days I am offering to small charities across London and I am very excited to be working with African Revival on day one.

Freelance Friday has started off very well. Since my post at the back end of last month, I have had some very nice tweets and shoutouts, which have resulted in my first bookings of the initiative.

Freelance friday is a new pet project of mine, I’ll be offering my services pro-bono, to charities and non-profit organisations in and around London. I’ll be doing this on the last Friday of every month.
