Charity Friday – Birdsong London
Charity Friday – Birdsong London
Written on: 26/02/2016
I’m delighted to be working with Birdsong London today. Birdsong finds the best female makers and brings them to you, no sweatshops, no photoshop.
Started in August 2014 by a trio of feminist founders, Birdsong sources fairly made fashion, from chitenge-printed bomber jackets to quirky bone jewellery. Each purchase gives 50-85% back to the women who made it, from groups in Malawi to seamstresses on Brick Lane.
I’m very excited to be working with Sophie today, on some updates to the website, some SEO strategy and some responsive issues they’ve been having too.
I’ll write an update on how the day went a bit later on.

UPDATE: Well, that was a fantastic day. It was amazing to meet Sophie, who has so much passion for what she does, and is so switched on about growing Birdsong and helping even more people.
I really got a great understanding about what they do, what they want to do and how we can work together in the future to help them achieve those goals.
It’s with that in mind, that I have decided to make Birdsong my charity of the year. What does that mean? Well, in short, it means I’ll be working exclusively with Birdsong one day per month, totally pro bono, and I won’t be taking on any more charities for the remainder of 2016.
I’m really excited about how Birdsong can make a difference, and how I can help that happen.
Keep checking back here, as I’ll be blogging more often about this project.
Here’s hoping for a fantastic year of working together, and hopefully we can make something fantastic.
Let's work together on your project.
